Bringing in direct investors for the country's large iron-ore deposit and creating more than ten thousand jobs.

Working with the armed forces to use local iron to build small boats, trawlers and aircraft, and to start domestic flights.

Buying a large canned-fish factory ship to meet half the country's daily demand.

Encouraging manufacturers and exporters and opening world markets to them.

Helping people with disabilities win export markets for their products.

Bringing small producers into the large two-day fairs held across the island, for export, and letting local consumers buy goods directly at fair prices.
